Also reported are the numbers of persons taken into custody and the number of shoplifting incidents from January to June, 1980. Bankruptcies are reported through September, 1980. Statistics on fires are give through July, 1980 and tabulated per province, in the 17 largest municipalities, and by amount of loss. The month of July, 1980 is covered by statistics on investigated crimes and nonindictable offenses by province, by groups of municipalities, and by nature of the offense.
