Annotation: During the year, the Alabama Department of Corrections emphasized constructing new facilities to relieve overcrowding and made progress in complying with numerous Federal court orders.
Abstract: Institutional data address population projections, inmates released, inmate admissions, and the counties incarcerating the most offenders. Escape data is reported by institution, escape frequency by month, and recapture time. Comprehensive work release data, inmate data, and a personnel statistical summary are also provided. Maps and graphs are included.
