Annotation: The number of Index crimes reported in 1982 in Hawaii totaled 65,448, a 2.2-percent increase over that reported in 1981. Robbery increased the most, up 7.4 percent from last year, while murder dropped the most, down 34 percent.
Abstract: Tables, graphs, and charts illustrate statistics on offenses and arrests, crime Index offenses known to police and reported by month, the value of property stolen and recovered, drug abuse arrests, demographic data on those persons arrested, etc. A ranking of all 50 States by crime rates for 1981 is included.
