Annotation: This summary of the year's activities of the Youth Reception and Correction Center in Yardville, N.J., highlights major developments and problems; inmate movement, characteristics and morale; business management; professional services; custodial operations; satellite units; juvenile and community release programs; inmate work opportunities; public relations; and staff training.
Abstract: Overcrowded conditions are deemed the major problem at the Center. Areas of concern and heightened activity over the reporting period included obtaining accreditation, reception unit processing, juvenile facility expansion, plans for a new correction unit, and community-based activities at the Center's satellite units.
