Title: Releases From Juvenile Institutions, Calendar Year 1982

Annotation: A total of 651 youths were released from Wisconsin's juvenile correctional institutions during calendar year 1982, compared to 719 in 1981.
Abstract: Of the 651 youths, 594 were boys. Of these, 374 were first releases to aftercare, 60 were rereleases to aftercare, 117 were direct discharges, and 43 were discharged by court order. The 57 girls released included 40 first releases to aftercare, 4 rereleases to aftercare, 10 direct discharges, and 3 discharges by court order. Data tables present information on first and rereleases, type of release, and characteristics of juvenile male and female offenders released.
