Annotation: While this manual is not a statement of policy of the Criminal or Tax Divisions of the Department of Justice, it is intended as a sourcebook of procedures and discussion of some of the issues partaining to Federal grand jury practice.
Abstract: The major sections of this volume pertain to the mechanics of the grand jury, the secrecy of grand jury proceedings, evidence presented to the grand jury, witnesses, subpoena power, privileges, conflicts of interest/multiple representation, motions, grand jury abuse issues, special procedures for criminal tax grand juries, the civil use of grand jury matters, and immunity procedures and considerations.
