Topics under the rechanneling of disputes are prevention and simplification, no fault, decriminalization and diversion, settlement devices, and cost mechanisms. Alternative processes encompass negotiation, screening mechanisms, mediation, and arbitration. Institutional applications considered include judicial systems, neighborhood justice centers, lay tribunals, and specialized courts. Publications on specific types of disputes address family, institutional disputes, medical malpractice, labor relations, consumer disputes, community disputes, international disputes, housing, and environmental disputes. Most of the listings were published between 1960 and 1979 and include books, journal articles, and research studies.
