Annotation: This report presents information and data on the Illinois Department of Corrections' programs and services to complement the departmental budget; the report covers the prior year (fiscal 1984), the current year (fiscal 1985), and the budget year (fiscal 1986).
Abstract: Major report sections cover adult institutions/centers, adult community supervision (parole), juvenile institutions and services, and corrections administration. The sections pertaining to correctional institutions and services have a format that encompasses program description, program services data, program analysis, and future directions. Information and data on program description focuses on statutory authority, purpose, organization, services, and historical data. The program description also presents data and information on goals, objectives, and results for fiscal 1985 as well as goals, objectives, and performance measures for fiscal 1986. The major section on administration contains a program description, program analysis, and future directions. The administrative program description encompasses statutory authority, purpose, organization, services, accomplishments for fiscal 1985, and objectives for fiscal 1986. The 1985 information and data feature the implementation of efforts to reduce prison overcrowding, and the fiscal 1986 plan and budget is designed to maintain these reductions. The appendix presents the public review comments on the report and plan amendments. Extensive graphic and tabular data are provided.
