This annotated bibliography contains approximately 200 entries on child abuse and neglect and juvenile delinquency that date from 1974 to 1988.
Abstract
The citations focus on child and adult protective services, children's responses to sexual abuse in day care centers, antecedents of socially deviant behavior, child molestation, adolescent sex offenders, runaways, female sex offenders, and incest. They also deal with adolescent development, the long-term impact of child abuse, behavioral interventions to treat adolescent sex offenders, psychotherapy for violent offenders, foster care, educators' role in child abuse intervention, and psychiatric problems associated with child abuse. Additional entries concern court intake guidelines, adolescent prostitution, children at risk, family violence, medical factors in juvenile delinquency, parenting stress and skills, institutional neglect of juvenile health needs, adolescent perceptions of parental discipline, and services for troubled youth.
