Abstract
"Mother of Murdered Navajo Girl Challenges Tribal, Federal, State, and Local Leaders To Be Vigilant at 2019 AMBER Alert in Indian Country Symposium" describes the efforts of Pamela Foster - mother of Ashlynne Mike, who was abducted and murdered within the Navajo Reservation in Arizona in 2017 - in implementing the Ashlynne Mike AMBER Alert in Indian Country Act of 2018. This is a law that provides funding and resources for integrating state and regional AMBER Alert Plans and resources with federally recognized tribes. Another feature presentation describes how a concerned citizen and an AMBER Alert led to the safe return of two abducted girls in Minnesota. "Faces of the AMBER Alert Network" profiles the work of Tanea Parmenter, who has been Idaho's Missing Person Clearinghouse Program Manager since 2012. "AMBER Alert International" describes the 2019 launching of the Bahamas child abduction alert system; the use of billboards to post AMBER Alerts in Brisbane, Australia; and the AMBER Alert training of European officers at the second European Expert Network on Missing Children Forum in the Czech Republic.
