Abstract
DURING THE FIRST TWO DECADES OF THE UNITED NATIONS, INTERNATIONAL TERRORISM RECEIVED ONLY TANGENTIAL ATTENTION IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND THE SECURITY COUNCIL. DISCUSSED IS THE 1973 UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION ON THE PREVENTION OF CRIMES AGAINST INTERNATIONALLY PROTECTED PERSONS AS WELL AS ACTION BY THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES AND BY THE INTERNATIONAL CIVIL AVIATION ORGANIZATION.
