Abstract
THE CHANGE IN THE NATURE OF THE CRIME OF ARMED ROBBERY IN NIGERIA SINCE THE CIVIL WAR THERE IS DESCRIBED. GOVERNMENT REACTION TO THE PROBLEM IN THE FORM OF LEGISLATION IMPOSING THE DEATH SENTENCE ON CONVICTED ARMED ROBBERS. THE AUTHOR RECOMMENDS FURTHER RESEARCH.
