Description of Activity and Faculty Guidelines: The instructor will divide students into small groups based upon their disciplines. Suggestions for group divisions include: o Law enforcement and victim assistance. o Prosecution/court and victim/witness. o Corrections and victim assistance. o Domestic violence and sexual assault services. o Child Protective Services. o Victim compensation. o Homicide agencies and organizations. o "Other." Students in each group receive the worksheet that asks them to list at least two accommodations their agencies should make to address the needs of victims with: o Visual impairments. o Hearing impairments. o Physical impairments. o Developmental disabilities. Following completion of the worksheets, students should remain in their small groups, and discuss the extent to which their agencies have actually made such accommodations.
