By pulling strips of paper out of a hat, each small group selects one stage of the criminal justice system, and facilitates a group discussion of victims' three most important needs and three ways that each stage of the system can identify and meet those needs. The instructor facilitates a full group discussion with "round robin" group reports, beginning with the group(s) with "initial request for help" through "community supervision." Each group will offer one "need" and one "way to meet the need." Group responses can be processed on tear sheets.
