ABSTRACTS DATABASE ONLINE TUTORIAL

About the Database

The NCJRS Abstracts Database contains summaries of and bibliographic information for more than 215,000 publications including: Federal, State, and local government reports; books; research reports; journal articles; and unpublished research. Subject areas include corrections, courts, drugs, law enforcement, juvenile justice, crime statistics, domestic preparedness, and victims. A collection statement summarizes the acquisitions plan for documents, most of which date from the 1960's to the present. All of the publications listed in the Abstracts Database are available from the NCJRS Library through either the interlibrary loan program or the photocopy service. Within the Abstract Database record, links to full-text publications are provided when available and clicking on find in a library allows you to discover documents in your local library.

Opinions or points of view expressed in the documents are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official position or policies of the U.S. Department of Justice.
