Defending Childhood
Launched in 2010, the Department of Justice's Defending Childhood initiative addresses the exposure of America's children to violence as victims and as witnesses and the impact such exposure may have on youth.

National Academic Centers of Excellence on Youth Violence Prevention
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-funded National Academic Centers of Excellence (ACE) on Youth Violence Prevention are unique from traditional research centers because they work with community members and many educational, justice and social work partners to develop action plans, partnerships, and priorities to prevent youth violence in a local community.

Office for Victims of Crime (OVC)
One of the components of the Office of Justice Programs, OVC is committed to enhancing the Nation’s capacity to assist crime victims and to providing leadership in changing attitudes, policies, and practices to promote justice and healing for all victims of crime.
