This compendium provides citations and statement summaries of court decisions that interpret laws pertaining to prisoners' rights.
Abstract
The court decisions are listed under 17 topics. The topics include jurisdiction under civil rights statutes, civil rights and habeas corpus compared, magistrate's role, forma pauperis petitions, alternatives for direction of service, the frivolous or malicious test, and requirements for a cause of action under 42 U.S.C.
