Each summary includes a title for the activity, a brief description, data sources used, date of completion, and the name and phone number of a contact person. An index lists the page number for each activity summary by title and State under the 33 major issues. The directory lists 33 major criminal justice issues considered in SAC 1985 activities and the number of States conducting activities dealing with each issue. Issues researched by 20 or more States were sentencing, police, victims, personnel/management, and overcrowding. Appendixes contain SAC addresses and phone numbers, brief descriptions of the Criminal Justice Statistics Association and the Computerized Index to Data Sources, and a form for evaluating the directory.
