The Autosense breath alcohol analyzer is a programmable analyzer designed for monitoring convicted drunk drivers on probation and for preventing people under the influence of alcohol from driving. A security access code is required to activate the system, using a procedure that takes approximately 10 seconds. The driver blows into the mouthpiece to produce a digital display of the blood alcohol percentage. A pass/fail indicator also appears. If the blood alcohol exceeds a present level, the vehicle will not start. The digital display shows test results from 0.000 percent to 0.200 percent. The memory system records all test results with the date, time, and blood alcohol percentage. A printout report is available to a probation agency.
