Lessened power for women who negotiate for themselves in divorce mediation is addressed from the perspective of two self-defeating patterns.
Abstract
Distinctions are made between entitlements and empowerments in balancing power with premises which are either vulnerable or robust. In order to identify the woman's rightful entitlements and increase her empowerment to parity, the mediator must employ interventions for building knowledge and skill based on the more robust standards. Educational modes for intervention are described. (Publisher abstract)
