This study examines three propositions derived from Blau's (1977) macrosociological theory of social relations.
Abstract
The theorems predict a positive effect of heterogeneity, urbanization, and inequality on intergroup conflict, and are tested on a national sample of criminal victimization between persons of different age, race, and income groups. The results for heterogeneity and urbanization corroborate Blau's theory. (Author abstract)
