Phase I of this study consisted of file searches designed to determine the characteristics of female inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution -- Morgantown (West Virginia), so that program development might begin from a secure data base.
Abstract
Section A contains frequency distributions for 10 selected Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) scales: authority conflict, dependency, dominance, hostility, manifest hostility, hypomania, masculinity-femininity, prejudice, social responsibility, and psychopathic deviate. Section B examines the 10 MMPI scales in relationship to job skills according to race and the inmate's previous affiliation with a male. Section C examines the relationship between the 10 MMPI scales and the incidence of probation, parole, or C.T.C. violations. Section D examines the 10 MMPI scale scores in relation to family background in an effort to identify etiological patterns. Detailed descriptive data are appended. 66 tables.
