In addition to presenting the agenda for a symposium on AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) and the law enforcement officer to be held in San Antonio, Tex., on December 2, 1987, this paper outlines information on precautionary measures officers should take to prevent transmission of the AIDS virus as well as guidelines for crime scene investigators and field officers.
