Abstract
In the program, students with learning disabilities help other less advanced students with their learning disabilities. This program has helped overcome the feeling of many learning disabled persons that teachers and other students do not perceive or understand their learning difficulties. Formerly unmotivated inmates are excited about their learning in the peer program, and morale and social relationships among inmates have improved. Pretests and posttests have shown that particular students have made learning gains never thought possible. The program involves one-on-one peer interaction.
