Among proposals for the unified juvenile justice system are a statewide juvenile court information system, joint State agency training for field staff, an intern program, and specialized training programs. Proposals for specialized treatment services encompass modular programs for special needs offenders, intensive probation, drug and alcohol treatment, restitution and mediation, work experience, in-school probation program, sex offender treatment, and adventure-based short-term treatment.
