This study examined return rates for 529 participants leaving the Woodbourne, N.Y. correctional facility alcohol and substance abuse program between 1983 and 1985.
Abstract
Of these, 419 were satisfactory program participants, and 110 were unsatisfactory participants (dropouts or terminations). Participants were followed up for a minimum of 12 months after release. Satisfactory participants showed a return rate of 23.3 percent compared to 28 percent for unsatisfactory participants.
