This report summarizes significant criminal justice legislation enacted by the 1987 and 1988 sessions of the Georgia General Assembly.
Abstract
The legislation summarized is divided into five sections: public safety agencies and personnel, judicial administration and procedures, corrections, criminal sanctions and crimes, and children and youth/juvenile justice. All bills and resolutions are listed in numerical order. Although not every criminal justice measure finally acted upon by the General Assembly in 1987 and 1988 is included, the report attempts to be as comprehensive as possible regarding significant measures adopted during these two sessions. The report contains an index of all bills and resolutions.
