Based on work with adolescents at a mental health center and an alcohol education program, some of the difficulties children of alcoholics experience in separating from their homes are considered.
Abstract
These difficulties are described in terms of organizing fantasies in which adolescents use relationships outside of their homes to work through unresolved feelings about their families. (Author abstract)
