The Juvenile Court Docketing and Indexing System was developed by the Michigan Judicial Data Center for use in smaller counties desiring a freestanding automated system.
Abstract
The initial total cost for a single workstation including an IBM PS 2 Model 30 microcomputer, a printer, and a color monitor screen is about $2,500 and the monthly maintenance fee is $85. The system helps in caseflow management, scheduling and monitoring of case-related events, indexing of pertinent data, statistical reporting, preparation and maintenance of the court calendar, and other functions. A master menu allows the user access to the various modules within the system. Onsite training is provided to court personnel over a period of 1 to 5 days. The system is available to any Michigan county probate court that wishes to use it. It does not allow for user customization. All programming is performed by the Michigan Judicial Data Center. The software and source code are available to courts outside Michigan for $2,000. Sample screens and screen descriptions.
