Probationer training continued to use its existing structure, but placed additional emphasis on policing skills. The management and professional studies unit introduced a new course for newly promoted sergeants and became increasingly involved with external management resources. Other efforts focused on courses in investigative techniques, communications training, physical training, firearms training, and training in home defense.
