The Commission's influence on law reform is examined with regard to legal research, public education, judicial decisions, and legislation. The Commission's evaluation of police interview videotaping is presented, along with information on a code passed by the Canadian Parliament for crime victims. Research projects of the Commission and its cooperation with other law reform organizations are considered. Reports issued by the Commission during the year focus on criminal law recodification and criminal procedures. Appendixes list published and unpublished reports of the Commission, as well as Commission personnel and consultants.
