Criminals and terrorist/subversives are becoming increasingly more sophisticated, better trained, and armed with more destructive weaponry. There is a growing need for better and more dependable electronic security countermeasure technology in industrial, commercial, and government sectors that will provide timely information on such things as narcotic/explosive detection, intrusion detection, perimeter security, terrorism threats, and criminal information. A compilation of articles on security system innovations is presented. The systems are discussed in terms of the development of new technology or improvements made on already existing technology, implementation of the technology, and results expected from that implementation.
