Adolescents in the United States are both behaviorally and biologically at risk of getting AIDS.
Abstract
To date the rate of AIDS infection among adolescents has been low, but the number is rising. To avoid a possible major adolescent AIDS epidemic, it is vital that AIDS prevention strategies be implemented among the adolescent population now. These methods include public education, anonymous blood testing, the provision of social support systems, and empowerment. 1 figure and 44 references. (Author abstract modified)
