Appendix G of Volume 2 contains the full text of the Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 1986, Public Law 99-580, which amends title 18 of the United States Code regarding interception of certain communications as well as surveillance matters.
Abstract
The Act has three titles. Title I deals with the interception of electronic communications and related matters. Title II deals with stored wire and electronic communications and transactional records access, and Title III includes pen registers and tap and trace devices among those communications for which court wiretap or surveillance orders must be obtained.
