Abstract
Case law on polygraph admissibility as evidence is listed in each United States jurisdiction. The Federal Law bars most tests for pre-employment screening, but allows tests to be administered to employees who are reasonably suspected of workplace theft or other incidents causing employer economic loss. The law provides exemptions for Federal, State, or local governments and for a limited number of occupations. State laws on the polygraph are listed.
