Projects in eight communities in Sweden provide examples of how Swedish juveniles are working toward productive goals alongside adults and are avoiding delinquency.
Abstract
In Falun, students, parents, and school personnel are working on a school democracy project. They have established a student advisory council and a student task force to improve the school environment. In the Ale community, school and recreation personnel work with children and parents to develop better school curricula and study procedures. In Skellefte, youths have been given responsibility for setting the programs at recreation centers.
