This directory provides State and local officials the opportunity to review what intervention/treatment programs are being used in jurisdictions nationwide to address the drug-dependent offender problem.
Abstract
A nationwide survey of the states and territories was conducted to identify programs that states are using to provide intervention and treatment services for drug-dependent offenders. The survey specifically asked State respondents to identify approaches that appeared to be working and programs that exemplified those programs. Each intervention/treatment program contains the name, address, title, and telephone number of the program contact person as of the time the information was compiled. Below the program information are two lines of codes that enable the user to determine for each program the intervention/treatment strategies employed, the setting, the duration of treatment, and the client population served. Program settings may be correctional, hospital, residential, or outpatient. Appendix
