This report tabulates characteristics of the populations of adult correctional institutions and work release programs in Washington as well as statistics on prison admissions and releases.
Abstract
The tables on client characteristics describe average daily population and rated capacity by month, ethnic distributions, distributions of offenses and violent crime convictions, age distribution and average age, and distribution of sentencing authority. Admissions to prison are tabulated according to month and type, type and county of conviction, race and sex, Hispanic origin and sex, county and race, county and Hispanic origin, type and sentencing authority, and offense and type of admission. Finally, the tables relating to prison releases describe type of release and month, race and Hispanic origin and type of release, length of stay by category of admission and by offense, releases by sentencing authority, and releases by month and sex. 21 tables
