This 1986 annual report of the U.S. Attorney General describes the fiscal 1986 activities and achievements of U.S. Justice Department agencies and divisions.
Abstract
A presentation of the duties and responsibilities of the Offices of the Deputy Attorney General and Associate Attorney General represent the official delegations of authority as they existed during fiscal year 1986. Statistical tables cover the activities of the various Justice Department agencies and divisions. Offices presenting 1986 reports include those of Legal Counsel, Legislative Affairs, Liaison Services, Legal Policy, Professional Responsibility, Intelligence Policy and Review, and the Pardon Attorney. Divisions reporting are the Criminal Division, Antitrust Division, Civil Division, Civil Rights Division, Tax Division, and the Land and Natural Resources Division. The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the U.S. Marshal Service, the Immigration and Naturalization Service, and Justice Assistance Act agencies also present reports. Other agencies with reports are the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys, the Executive Office for U.S. Trustees, the Bureau of Prisons-Federal Prison Industries, Inc., the Community Relations Service, the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission, and the U.S. National Central Bureau of INTERPOL.
