The data indicate that receptivity to the use of innovative techniques was relatively high, with perceptions of actual use somewhat lower. Judges tended to be somewhat more supportive than prosecutors of court-ordered treatment for offenders and were more likely to see themselves as using innovative techniques than to see the techniques as commonly used. Prosecutors were more likely to see innovative techniques as commonly used than they were to perceive themselves as using the techniques frequently. 7 tables and 28 references (Author abstract)
