Statistical data covering the activities of the Los Angeles Police Department for the calendar year 1990 are presented in accordance with Section 64 of the Charter of the City of Los Angeles.
Abstract
Data are categorized into crimes and other investigations, adult arrests, juvenile arrests, traffic accidents and enforcement, telephone calls received and units dispatched, and personnel and equipment. Crime subcategories include homicides, forcible rapes, aggravated assaults, robberies, burglaries, larcenies, vehicle thefts and recoveries, worthless documents, Part Two offenses, arson, and law enforcement officers killed or assaulted. Adult and juvenile arrests are presented by location, type offense, month, age, sex, and geographic bureau location by detail arresting and disposition. Incoming telephone calls are listed together with units dispatched in each geographic bureau. Personnel are subdivided into civilian and sworn with information on age, years of service, location of assignment, training, compensation, and benefits. Graphic information is included on crime trends, and a summary of the statistical data is provided in accordance with national standards prescribed by the FBI's Uniform Crime reports.
