Intended for use by legislators, law enforcement officials, policymakers, researchers, and others, this manual describes the purposes and elements of drug laws in each State and the District of Columbia as of December 1990.
Abstract
The guide also discusses the development, amendment, and application of these State laws; other laws' provisions that relate to drug regulation; and provisions that have been recently developed or are the focus of increasing attention. Provisions are described regarding penalties, drug paraphernalia, imitation controlled substances, forfeiture, offenses involving minors, distribution of drugs in or near schools, safehouses, offender drug testing, and other topics. Charts also list the drugs targeted for enhanced penalties under drug laws, tax provisions relating to controlled substances, and forfeitable assets. Appended glossary, Federal guidelines regarding seized and forfeited property, and related materials
