Abstract
The Federation in New South Wales is a member of the Australian Police Citizens Youth Club. Currently there are 129 police Citizens Youth clubs in Australia. All of these clubs offer programs and activities aimed at reducing crime and antisocial behavior of young people. Activities include crime prevention workshops, minority group-police resource workshops, neighbor network, young offenders support teams, and court support programs. Police careers out west, careers markets, offstreet school break-up parties, passive areas, and anti-graffiti projects are also offered for young participants. In addition, the youth club police are available to the public for discussion of matters relating to life and policing matters in the areas served by the particular branch. Other programs offered by the club are jarjums talent quest, Koori culture expo, and Wilcannia/Mount Druitt youth interchange. Law week, drive to survive, bicycle safety, protective behavior program, peer support, rehabilitation of young offenders, alteens, and corporate coalition programs are also available.
