The narrative section describes the activities of the Judicial Council in 1991 including requests for and creation of new judgeships, Judicial Planning Committee reports and surveys, and consideration of jury standards and the role of women in the courts. The Council is currently studying the problem of backlog in the Courts of Appeal, First and Third Circuits. The Judicial Administrator, the Law Library of Louisiana, the Louisiana Judicial College, and the Judiciary Commission of Louisiana all submitted annual reports.
