This summary report has been prepared to inform educational agencies, institutions, and nonprofit agencies and organizations of fiscal year 1992 substance abuse education and prevention projects funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Division of Drug-Free Schools and Communities, Discretionary Programs Branch.
Abstract
The information can facilitate the sharing and disseminating of innovative prevention and intervention approaches, strategies, and program activities on a national level. In areas of common interest, organizations and individuals are encouraged to contact agencies providing similar or desired program services. In addition, ideas presented in the report may assist in the preparation of future substance abuse prevention proposals submitted to the U.S. Department of Education for funding consideration. Each project description identifies the agency involved, grant amount, project title, school level, and project director and telephone number. Projects are categorized as demonstration, Federal activities, school personnel training, emergency, innovative alcohol abuse education, and counselor training projects.
