Overviews of crime prevention in Australian States focus on South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland. Presentations on the role of the community in crime prevention encompass the problems and pitfalls in crime prevention, networking crime prevention, and the Good Neighborhood Program in Victoria. Two presentations discuss new directions for police in crime prevention, including a description of a police-community crime prevention program. An address on future directions in crime prevention focuses on a national approach to crime prevention.
