This fifteenth annual report produced by the Maryland Uniform Crime Reporting program presents statistics compiled from monthly reports submitted to the Central Records Division of the Maryland State Police by all law enforcement agencies throughout the State.
Abstract
Offenses in the Uniform Crime Reporting program are divided into Part I (homicide, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny, motor vehicle theft, arson) and Part II offenses (other assault, forgery and counterfeiting, fraud, embezzlement, stolen property, vandalism, weapons offenses, prostitution, sex offenses, drug law violations, gambling, offenses against family and children, driving under the influence, liquor law violations, disorderly conduct, vagrancy, and all other offenses). Offense and arrest data are supplied for Part I offenses, while only arrest information is supplied for Part II offenses. This report discusses data for crime index offenses in Maryland and presents statistics on municipality crime rates, Maryland arrest data, and law enforcement personnel data. The supplementary volume tabulates detailed State arrest data.
