This collection of speeches and the program plan from a workshop on AIDS in correctional facilities in Argentine federal prisons reviews the subject from a number of viewpoints.
Abstract
Topics addressed include legal and ethical aspects of AIDS in the prison system, a general overview of AIDS in Argentina, prevention of AIDS/HIV in the Americas, and the epidemiology of AIDS/HIV bio-security and infection. Each presentation is presented in its entirety including the description of accompanying slides. Individual workshops covered such topics as AIDS in prison, fear of AIDS, AIDS and sex, AIDS and drugs, AIDS and discrimination, and general HIV concerns in daily prison life. Questions and answers resulting from the workshops are listed.
