This cross-reference guide was created by the Alaska Justice Statistical Analysis Unit (SAU) as a computerized reference for Alaska's criminal statutes.
Abstract
This volume provides a cross-reference between Alaska Criminal Statutes and National Crime Information Center (NCIC), FBI Uniform Crime Report (UCR), Alaska Offender-Based Transaction Statistics (AK-OBTS), and Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) codes. Each statute is briefly annotated; a record is comprised of the State statute number and title, classification assigned by the legislature for violation of the statute, cross-reference, and annotation. The SAU generated the cross-reference using Alaska Peace Officer's Association Field Manual, the Alaska Department of Public Safety's Conversion guide, material from the Bureau of Justice Statistics, and current NCIC, UCR, and OBTS manuals.
