Abstract
Individual papers examine correctional staff perceptions of mentally disordered offenders in Canada, the nature and roles of inmate academic education, the use of electronic monitoring of offenders, corrections management, the training of correctional officers in Malaysia, and the use of dogs by Australia's Prison Service. Other papers describe the functions of the Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China, privatization in corrections, inmate populations in several countries, and a conference of Commonwealth correctional administrators held in May 1992.
